Gingerlines: A Grand Expedition ★★★★★
You may have heard of Gingerlines, you may not have heard of it! Maybe someone you know has gone and came back telling you how much they enjoyed it but tried to keep as much of it under wraps as possible? Well there may be a reason for that!
Gingerlines is an immersive dinning experience and even from the start with the texting of the location it's all very hush hush, its all so secretive but that just adds to the growing anticipation of what you're too expect when you walk into the unknown.
Playing around with difference themes for each (let's call them 'series') of what can only be described as dinning theatrical brilliantness, the creative team of the experiance certainly don't hold back.
The Grand Expedition takes you on a journey around the world sampling different types of food brought to you by the actors who are just non-stop.
The Grand Expedition takes you on a journey around the world sampling different types of food brought to you by the actors in a comedic fashion.
So full of energy are the background actors that you can't help to feel fully emersed in the atmosphere. Sitting in hot air balloons there was plenty to admire.
With my date for the evening, we were sat at a table with some lovely people who all had their own opinions of the night, all good. We were all under the opinion that even though the actors were fantastic and they kept the energy of the room up, even without them it still would have been a magical night, they just added to the tale of the Grand Expedition and made you feel warm and welcome.
Being a vegetarian (and a bit picky) I was worried about the food but there was nothing I was given that I wouldn't eat.
With tickets starting at £60 it's not a cheap night but I can honestly say it not a night you will easily forget or question where your money's going.
5/5 - An amazing night spent with some great people surrounded by some very enthusiastic actors and great set design.
